The range includes automatic and manual calorimeters, decomposition chambers, combustion crucibles, and accessories, and gives the option to measure using adiabatic, dynamic, manual or isoperibol methods.

When burning samples with an oxygen bomb calorimeter, the heat released from the sample is measured during a controlled, complete combustion in an atmosphere of pure oxygen. The sample is placed in a combustion crucible, connected to the ignition wire with a special cotton cord or another material with a known calorific value, the decomposition chamber is closed, and 30 bar of oxygen is pumped in. The sample is then ignited, and the instrument measures the heat release during total combustion.
